Meaning of the work:
Theory of Codes explores human identity in the balance between biology and technology, depicting a man divided between digital worlds.
The muscular body, painted with the precious Mussini oils, doubles symmetrically to reflect our contemporary existence: one part immersed in the blue of logical circuits and the other in the red of binary code. The work suggests that the modern human being is no longer just flesh, but a complex architecture of data in continuous speculative evolution.
Details about the artist:
Fabio Meneghella (1988) is an Italian artist whose expressive research moves along the fine line between classical figuration and visionary surrealism. Raised in an environment permeated by art thanks to his mother, painter Anna Maria Saponaro, he perfected his technical training at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bari, where in 2016 he earned a second-level academic diploma in theatrical scenography. This solid academic foundation, together with a deep interest in science, philosophy, and engineering, has allowed him to develop a unique, forward-looking style aimed at “representing the invisible.” His works explore the cosmos, time, and the subatomic dimension, transforming the human body into a bridge between physical reality and pure imagination.
Throughout his career, Fabio Meneghella has established his international profile by participating in important exhibitions in numerous cities, including Rome, Florence, Livorno, Palermo, and extending to European scenes such as Innsbruck and Barcelona. Among the most significant moments of his path are the collaboration with the historic gallery Il Melograno of Livorno and participation in ArtePadova 2021, within the prestigious Contemporary Art Talent Show showcase. His talent has also been recognized by specialized critics, with his work appearing in the catalog Protagonists of Art featuring reviews by industry experts such as Paolo Levi. Today his works, characterized by a highly refined oil technique and symbolic narration often divided into trilogies, have entered numerous private collections in many Italian and international cities, sought after by collectors who desire a vision of art capable of looking to the future without forgetting the lessons of the masters of the past.
