La Dama Blu, 1962
Beautiful and highly recognizable color lithograph by the Italian-French artist Massimo Campigli, one of the leading representatives of the École de Paris. Campigli is worldwide known for his iconic, archaic-looking female figures inspired by Etruscan and Mediterranean art.
This work, “La Dama Blu” (1962), belongs to one of the artist's most beloved thematic series. The monumental central figure in blue, surrounded by stylized shapes and symbolic figures, is typical of Campigli’s timeless visual language in which simplicity, rhythm and archetypal forms come together.
The lithograph is hand-signed and dated by the artist and is part of a limited edition of only 125 copies (114/125). This is an artist’s proof. The work was printed on high-quality BFK Rives paper with watermark and issued by L’Œuvre Gravée, Paris, a renowned publisher of prints by important 20th-century artists.

Condition
In the matting area lightly yellowed, which is common for graphics from this period. A small, barely visible crease in the upper right corner. After framing with mat, the work presents very beautifully, with still fresh and vibrant colors.
