Egg from 1981 is one of the most legendary and hard-to-find titles from Nintendo's Game & Watch series and is often called the “holy grail” by collectors. The game belongs to the Wide Screen series and has simple but addictive gameplay where the player must catch falling eggs without letting them break.

The game is often compared to Mickey Mouse, another Game & Watch game with almost identical gameplay. Nintendo developed Egg as an alternative after the license for Disney characters (such as Mickey Mouse) could not be used in all markets. Therefore this version got its own theme with eggs instead of Mickey catching eggs.

Fun fact: because Egg was produced in many fewer units than the Disney variants and was less widely distributed internationally, it is today one of the rarest Game & Watch models and a true top find for collectors.
