Max Neumann (1949) - Senza Titolo

I met his Works many years ago, in a gallery in Brussels where I had gone to look for a painting by Schwontkowski that I had fallen in love with and that is still here with me.
But Nueumann, that new discovery, stayed in my mind.
I had been struck by his faceless characters, which reminded me of Bacon, with those infinite solitudes and existential weight that no one else had managed to portray.
Then I began to search for him in the various auctions of that period and I was enchanted by a magnificent Carta Bruna painted with his typical colors that at times exploded with light and matter that represents only itself.
Unconventional/atypical, like almost all of the Works in my collection....
