THE APOSTLE is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. In this painting a classical sculptural head emerges suspended before a geometric and silent architecture. The figure, bodiless, seems embedded in an intensely yellow wall, as if the past had been trapped in the modern structure. Its empty, stone-like gaze does not observe: it remains.

The composition establishes a dialogue between times. The sculpture evokes Greco-Roman tradition, the solemnity of marble, cultural heritage.
