HOMAGE TO CHIRICO is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. The glove suspended on the wall introduces an unsettling, almost dreamlike element that breaks the logic of the whole. It is an object out of context, charged with symbolic ambiguity: absence, latent presence, a gesture halted in time. At the far right, the linear silhouette of a cat traced in a golden outline reinforces that sense of silent watchfulness, as if the scene were being observed from another dimension.

The treatment of color offers a contemporary reading. The intense reds, deep blues, and saturated yellows recall the expressive freedom of Fauvism, but here the chromaticism is not merely decorative: it builds psychological tension. The contrasts generate an atmosphere that oscillates between the theatrical and the introspective.
