Harper H. is a French artist born in 1983.
After studying and working in photography in the USA, she eventually felt confined by pure photographic practice.

She then became interested in the emerging digital painting.
Her taste for cinema from the 1950s/70s and for American hyperrealism leads her toward elaborated figurative creations.

Inspired by the glazing layering technique of classical painters such as Van Eyck or Caravaggio but also more contemporary ones like Richard Estes.

She works the juxtaposition of photographic, digital and painterly techniques on her canvases, imagining ambiguous situations that invite everyone to pursue the proposed scenario, according to their imagination or life experience.
