Description from the seller
Bruno Ceccobelli (1952) "Eros" acrylic on cardboard 115 x 74 cm 1990s, signed
Bruno Ceccobelli was born in Montecastello di Vibio (Perugia), on September 2, 1952.
He lives and works in Todi.
He owes much to the artist Toti Scialoja, with whom he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. He loves and studies artists such as Malevich, Kandinsky, Klee, De Chirico, Brancusi, Beuys, Miró, Dalí, Tapies, Magritte. He completes his eclectic youthful formation with the study of Oriental philosophies Zen and Taoism.
From the second half of the 1970s he is part of the artists who settled in the former Cerere pasta factory in Rome, in the San Lorenzo district, a group of creatives later known as the "Nuova scuola romana". His work initially has a conceptual nature, then arrives at a pictorial abstraction that leads to a true spiritual symbolism.
