Description from the seller
The Amorelli company was founded in Caltanissetta (Sicily) in 1982 by Salvatore Amorelli.
The brand quickly became a symbol of high-end Italian pipes, with a strong aesthetic identity: carefully seasoned Mediterranean briar, often with inserts plated in 18-carat gold (or sometimes plated), and a star rating (from 1 to 5 or more) indicating the quality and rarity of the briar.
Amorelli pipes are all handmade and are today considered collectible items, especially those from the 1980s and 1990s.
Brand: Amorelli
Classification: double star (two small asterisks engraved on the bowl) → mid-to-upper range production.
Material: selected briar, smooth dark brown-reddish finish with splendid flame figure.
Mouthpiece: black acrylic with the characteristic gold bar insert.
Connection: classic spike with metal reinforcement (see detailed photo).
Shape: curved billiard, with a large chamber and slightly flattened sides.
Conditions: used, but well preserved;
The gold ingot logo and the star classification system are typical of production from the 1990s to the early 2000s.
The double star at the time indicated superior briar quality compared to standard lines.
Length: 157 mm
Weight: 60
