Description from the seller
BODEGÓN AZUL is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. In this work, a composition of flowers, fruits, and ceramics unfolds across a table in a delicate balance between color, form, and visual rhythm. Several glass and ceramic vases contain bouquets of white, orange, and violet flowers that rise naturally, creating a vertical play that structures the scene.
The deep blue background envelops the composition and unifies the different elements, allowing the bright colors of the flowers and citrus fruits to stand out with intensity. Lemons and oranges arranged on plates and bowls introduce small explosions of color that balance the whole and convey a sense of freshness and vitality.
The shapes are built with loose yet confident brushstrokes, where the paint retains a visible, gestural presence. The translucent vases, in green and turquoise tones, subtly reflect the light, generating a sense of depth within the composition.
The whole recalls the tradition of the classical still life, but reinterpreted through a modern and vibrant palette. The combination of fresh flowers, fruits, and everyday objects creates a quiet scene that celebrates the beauty of the simple and the everyday.
Bodegón Azul is a work about visual harmony and the pleasure of looking. A painting where the colors converse with each other to build a serene balance, full of light and life.
