Description from the seller
A0000003784
The pen is presented in very good condition, notable for its excellent aesthetic presence and the integrity of all its original components. The body, made of black resin with a translucent ink window, maintains a deep and uniform shine, with signs of very light use and aging, visible only upon close inspection. No cracks, deformations, or repairs are observed, preserving the solid and aligned structure characteristic of Montblancs of this period.
The cap also retains a bright and uniform finish. The golden clip and the cap rings are in generally good condition, with minimal wear consistent with normal use and the piece's age. The “Montblanc” engraving on the side of the cap remains well defined and legible, adding character and authenticity to the set.
The translucent ink window is in very good condition, allowing correct viewing of the ink level and maintaining its characteristic hue without severe darkening.
The original Montblanc nib in solid gold 14C is in excellent structural condition. It retains its correct shape, with no deformations or damage, and maintains proper alignment of the nib tines. The ebonite feed is clean and in good condition.
The integrated piston-fill system works correctly, allowing smooth ink loading and proper functioning for writing.
Overall, it is a vintage fountain pen in very good condition, with an elegant and authentic aesthetic that reflects the classic Montblanc design of the mid-20th century.
The pen has been inspected and tested, ensuring correct operation for use with ink.
Conservation recommendations
To preserve the pen's good condition, it is recommended to use high-quality inks specifically designed for fountain pens, avoiding pigmented or permanent inks that could clog the feed system. If the pen will not be used for an extended period, it is advisable to clean it with lukewarm water, dry it carefully before storage, and keep it in a dry place, away from direct light and extreme temperatures. It is also recommended to operate the piston mechanism gently to maintain the integrity of the loading system.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
