Description from the seller
LEMON TEA is a 70 by 100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. In this work, the scene is built as a luminous still life where everyday objects acquire a vibrant, almost festive presence. A teacup rests in the foreground on a blue-and-white decorated plate, accompanied by fresh lemons arranged in a bowl and on the table.
The composition is articulated through a strong chromatic harmony: the bright yellow of the lemons contrasts with the deep red of the table and with the deep blues of the ceramic. This color play creates a sense of freshness and vitality that dominates the entire painting.
The lemon-bearing branches and green leaves that appear at the top expand the space of the still life, linking the fruits with their natural origin and creating a sense of abundance. The brushstrokes are broad and gestural, especially in the leaves and in the reflections on the fruit, bringing movement and texture to the surface of the canvas.
The decorated ceramic, painted with blue motifs, introduces an element of tradition and delicacy within the scene. This detail reinforces the idea of a simple domestic moment: a pause to enjoy a hot drink and the fresh aroma of lemon.
LEMON TEA is a celebration of the everyday, where color, light and simple objects become protagonists of a warm and sensorial atmosphere.
