Willy Kammeyer - Breakthough

Born in The Hague in 1946.

Willy started painting in earnest in 2000 after many lessons with and from artists over the years. Exhibitions in various countries and described in several books. Certificates, including nominations for awards.

Her abstract work is eye-catching, partly due to the size of her canvases. The colors are harmonious and cheerful.

She begins with a blank canvas and then often paints layer after layer with a lot of paint to create a texture. A hallmark is a comb stroke running through her work. She has been using this technique for over 35 years.

Now living in Spain, the colors have shifted somewhat toward blue tones, but that may change again.
