Description from the seller
During World War II Theo Wolvecamp began painting, and from 1945 he attended the art academy in Arnhem. In that period the German and Flemish expressionism strongly occupied him. In 1947 he stopped his studies and moved to Amsterdam. There he developed his own, abstract visual language. In 1948 he was co-founder of the Dutch Experimental Group and he took part in CoBrA exhibitions. Unlike many of his CoBrA colleagues, he did not seek publicity, which is why he became less well known to the general public.
Medium: Pastel on paper
Dimensions of work: 30 x 13 cm
Condition: In good condition
Provenance: Private collection, the Netherlands
Viewing is, of course, possible. In addition we have our own in-house framing shop, celebrating its 85th anniversary year. Furthermore we make use of restorers from the industry association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
