After studying architecture for a few years at the Eindhoven University of Technology, Kreijn continued his education in Monumental Art at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. He then took courses under the guidance of, among others, R. B. Kitaj and David Hockney at the Royal College of Art in London. After completing his studies, he first moved to the island of Ibiza and then to Assisi and Florence, where he devoted himself intensely to painting.
