Description from the seller
Bruno Paolo Benedetti, born in 1954, began taking pictures in 1968, studying perspective and photo techniques. From the beginning he was focused on black-and-white photography, observing the contrasts of nature, the lights, and interpreting the reality around him. When he was 25, he began to work in the darkroom, enhancing his technique with filters and high-contrast films to make his first surreal and abstract photographs. At the same time he began traveling around Europe and the world: India, Nepal, Bhutan, South America, South Africa, Egypt, and the Comoros Islands are among the places he has visited most. The study of the religions and the mysticism in all of them inspired his artistic production, especially his surreal photography, where cultural and religious archetypes are depicted.

Relaxing Sunset
Relaxing Sunset is a striking fusion of photography and oil painting, where reality dissolves into expressive texture and color. The warm glow of the setting sun blends with deep blues and vibrant oranges, creating a fluid landscape that feels both natural and dreamlike.
Brush-like strokes and layered surfaces merge with photographic detail, producing a composition that moves between abstraction and atmosphere. The image evokes calmness and introspection while retaining dynamic energy through its sweeping lines and rich contrasts. This hybrid work invites the viewer to experience sunset not just as a moment in time, but as an emotional landscape suspended between vision and imagination.
Exhibitions:
Venezia misteriosa, Venice, November 2015
Internazionale Italia Arte, MITT Turin, May 2013
Cinema Farnese Rome, June–July 2012
Cinema Farnese, Rome, May–September 2013
