Description from the seller
A Japanese iron tsuba of rounded form with carved decoration. The design appears to include a bridge or architectural element, a standing or moving figure, and flowing-water or wave-like motifs. The tsuba has a central nakago-ana and two side openings. An inscription is visible near the nakago-ana, but I prefer not to overstate the reading based on photographs alone.
The metal surface shows age-related wear, rubbing, patina variation, and minor oxidation consistent with age and use. The visible weight shown in the photographs is approximately 101.2 g. The size appears to be approximately 6.5 cm, but please rely on the photographs for the overall impression and measurements.
A wooden storage box is included. The box appears to be a storage box, but I cannot confirm that it is original to the tsuba.
