Imposing Neoclassical Hollywood Regency Table Lamp – Black Lacquered Plaster with Cherubs – 1960s/70s
Description
A highly decorative and characterful table lamp executed in a dramatic neoclassical style. The base is crafted from heavy, solid cast plaster and finished in a deep black high-gloss lacquer, designed to mimic the appearance of polished basalt or stone.
The sculptural base features a detailed scene of two putti (cherubs) flanking a centrally placed, richly decorated amphora vase. This classical motif provides a romantic yet bold aesthetic. The lamp is crowned with a contemporary lampshade featuring a luxurious crocodile-embossed texture, creating a sophisticated contrast between traditional sculpture and modern maximalist design.
