Ludovic Gignoux (1882-?) - Le Bon Pasteur

Oil painting by Ludovic Gignoux, French painter born in 1882 (date of death unknown) in Lot-et-Garonne.
He mainly painted landscapes and genre scenes, and also religious themes, such as here this scene titled "Le Bon Pasteur" (a major theme of Christian iconography, evoking Jesus guiding the lost sheep, and saving it from danger).
Hand-signed L. Gignoux at the top right.
The canvas measures 38.5x46.5 cm, with the frame* 40.5x48.5x2.5 cm (*wood, protective framing).
Small flaws: canvas slightly damaged on the right edge, small discreet chips under the signature and at the top left. The scene itself is perfectly intact.
