Sandra Chinelate, Brazilian, works on the physical and existential inquiry carried out with the tools of figurative painting. A humanities graduate, and in childhood a self-taught artist, she moved to Italy and, influenced by her diverse sociolinguistic gaze, conducts her painting research with the aim of promoting a meeting among different social subjects, where different ages, skin colors, passions and human uncertainties are contemplated from the artist’s strong wish to exalt their facets, safeguarding her subjects from any preconceptions. Since 2005 she has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows. She works with oil and mixed media on canvas and panel.
