Description from the seller
18 KT White Gold with NATURAL DIAMOND (CORUNDUM) RUBY 9.41 CT – Diamonds 3.00 CT – Gemmological Certificate
Description
I am a jewelry enthusiast and over time I have carefully chosen pieces that truly move me.
I’m pleased to put this ring up for sale: it is a piece with strong personality and a striking visual impact, which has made me very happy. Now I wish for it to pass into new hands and continue to be valued and loved as it deserves.
It is an important, imposing ring that does not go unnoticed.
I am 1.85 m tall and have a large hand — and yet even on my hand the ring still looks big and dominant. This is to convey how significant its presence and visual impact are.
Made in 18 KT white gold (750/1000), with a total weight of about 11.20 grams.
Indication of period: circa the 2000s.
NATURAL RUBY – CORUNDUM
Weight: 9.41 carats
Cut: mixed oval with facets
Dimensions: approximately 14.38 x 11.88 x 5.70 mm
Color: red
Clarity: transparent
In GEM TEST Rep. 142/11 (2011) the gem is indicated as: “Ruby of Burmese origin (Myanmar)”
As reported in the technical documentation, the gem has undergone an enhancement treatment consisting of surface repair with high PbO₂-containing silicate products (glass-filled), already noted in 2011 and confirmed in the most recent gemmological certificate.
DIAMONDS – Total ~3.00 Carats
The ruby is enhanced by a substantial double halo of brilliant-cut diamonds:
25 diamonds of about 0.08 cts each (total about 2.00 cts)
20 diamonds of about 0.05 cts each (total about 1.00 cts)
Estimated quality (as per technical appraisal F&H 18.81 SA – Lugano):
Color: G/H
Clarity: VS
The diamonds are well-present, luminous and very brilliant, creating a splendid corona of light around the ruby.
Included documentation
Gemmological certificate C.A.G. Valenza no. C525271 (October 2025)
GEM TEST Rep. 142/11 (2011)
Technical appraisal F&H 18.81 SA – Lugano (06.11.2025)
The F&H appraisal 18.81 SA confirms:
18 KT white gold
Total weight 11.20 g
Composition and estimated quality of the diamonds
Ring size
Current size: 18 (Italian size).
Possibility to resize the size before shipping through a jeweler with laser technology (about 2 business days), by sending me a message promptly after purchase. No extra cost required.
Shipping
The ring will be shipped together with all original certificates
Shipping will be via DHL Express, fully trackable.
The package will be:
Insured for the full sale amount (courier maximum liability)
Carefully packed and professionally protected
Sealed after verification at a jewelry store
The ring will be delivered in an elegant jewelry box (not original to the ring), as shown in the photos, in a bluish-green velvet color.
For added peace of mind, I recommend the buyer open the package at a trusted jewelry store and remove the seal there.
NOTE: The ring has been photographed in different lighting conditions to best show the ruby’s characteristics.
The stone may appear more transparent when the ring is not worn, while once worn the ruby appears slightly less transparent and the red color more intense.
For this reason some photos were taken with direct light and others with more natural light, to show the stone’s color in different lighting conditions.
Final Considerations
This is a ring with great character, luminous and theatrical, intended for those who love bold, eye-catching jewelry. I would also like to note that I own a coordinated necklace with NATURAL DIAMOND (CORUNDUM) of around 13 carats, also surrounded by a double halo of diamonds for a total of about 4 carats, with similar gemological characteristics. The necklace has not yet been put up for sale. I will consider listing it in future auctions, once this experience is finished. Anyone interested in completing the set can follow my future auctions.
