Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
IWC Master Ultra Thin reference 2403, a 36 mm stainless steel manual-wind watch with a white dial and leather band from the 1970s, in very good condition with original box, papers and warranty, dating to 1975 and powered by the in-house Calibre 403 movement (band length 180–200 mm).
Description from the seller
This 1970’s International Watch Company (IWC) timepiece is complete with the original box and papers.
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1973. From the sales paperwork we know it was sold on the first day of 1975.
The original dial on this watch is very clean, and has both the script logo and the capital letter initials logo under 12. The thin stainless steel case is known as a C shape, named after the Omega Constellation that used it to such good effect. IWC also used it in their Yacht Club models from a similar period. The in house IWC Calibre 403 movement is beautifully finished and the details are quality throughout – note the shock protection on the escape wheel, and the chantons holding the main jewels. This is a high end movement, and it is adjusted to three positions too for fine accuracy. Cosmetically it has beveled screws and good Cotes de Geneve to the bridges, which do not add anything to the accuracy and there is every chance the original owner never saw them. If you add this level of finish to the history of this period, where Quartz was pushing most manufacturers to think cheaper rather than high quality, then it is even more impressive. The leather strap is new.
