Franco Fontana - Untitled

This is an original vintage photograph by master Franco Fontana, a shot dating from the 1970s, probably 1973. These very early ‘vintage’ photographs of Franco Fontana almost always bore the stamp “I.K.S. Spa” or “I.K.S. Modena,” which was essentially the Gallery that for a while had the exclusive rights to the works of the great Modenese master, so every Fontana work bearing an I.K.S. stamp is regarded as having added value, primarily because it is indeed authentic, and furthermore this stamp also helps date the photograph as a work that is certainly “vintage” and, indeed, can even be considered among the artist’s oldest works. Of good size, about 39 x 29 cm, with no tears or scratches. It represents one of his usual famous landscapes, this time a beach with the sea in the background, with a graphical composition that makes it resemble a drawing. I guarantee both the originality of the photograph and its authenticity.
