In an era dominated by speed and digital perfection, Marc deliberately works in analog. He draws inspiration from people, landscapes, flowers and plants. By working with artisanal photographic techniques he seeks new images: sometimes traditional, sometimes with a wholly original interpretation of reality.
Among other things, by experimenting with remarkable and often older films such as Kodalith — originally developed for graphic black-and-white images without halftones — he achieves, in combination with the slow printing process in his darkroom, unexpected and surprising results. The materials and the making process play as important a role as the subject itself.
