In an era dominated by speed and digital perfection, Marc deliberately works in analog. He draws inspiration from people, landscapes, flowers and plants. By working with artisanal photographic techniques, he searches for new images: sometimes traditional, sometimes with a completely personal interpretation of reality.
By, among other things, experimenting with special and often older films such as Kodalith – originally developed for graphic black-and-white images without gray tones – results in, in combination with the slow printing process in his darkroom, unexpected and surprising outcomes. The material and the making process play as important a role as the subject itself. Printed on photographic paper from the previous century.
