Oil on canvas still life titled 'Bodegón de vino' by Escuela europea (XIX), dated 1895, Europe, sold with frame; dimensions 54 x 69.6 cm.
Description from the seller
Title: Wine Still Life
School: European (19th century)
Style: Realist still life
Technique: Oil on canvas
Classic composition work that presents a refined still life arranged on a stone or marble shelf. In the center of the scene, a white wine glass stands out, accompanied by a set of white and black grapes, apples, grape leaves and small nuts, creating a harmonious and balanced image. The dark background enhances the luminosity of the main elements and adds depth to the composition, while the treatment of light and textures underscores the sober, naturalistic character of the work. The result is an elegant and serene scene, highly representative of the European still life tradition of the 19th century.
The brushwork shows attention to detail in the transparency of the glass, the shine of the fruit, and the natural fall of the leaves, reinforcing the sense of volume and realism. By chronology, it presents restorations.
The work is framed with a dark-toned wooden frame, of simple and classic design, with interior molding carved in a herringbone or twist pattern. It suitably accompanies the traditional aesthetic of the painting and enhances its decorative presence.
Notes:
The frame comes as a gift. It may have damage during transport although proper packaging is provided.
The works are shipped uninsured and, if you want to request insurance for the transport of the work, you must inform us beforehand via private message; if it is not requested, we will not be responsible for any damages that may occur during transport.
Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by surcharges due to circumstances such as being outside a continental territory, excessive dimensions or weight of the item. PremiArt will in no case be responsible for this surcharge.
Because of problems at the Swiss border, we must inform you that shipments with a length or height exceeding 1 meter to that destination will not be carried out.
Measurements: 54 x 69.6 cm; frame-free: 40 x 55 cm
