Description from the seller
EL TIGRE is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. In this work, the figure of the animal advances directly toward the viewer, occupying the center of the composition with a firm and powerful presence. Its frontal, intense and at the same time serene gaze establishes an immediate bond that conveys both authority and contained calm.
The tiger's body is built through loose and decisive brushstrokes, where oranges and blacks contrast with the whites and grays of the fur, creating volume and dynamism. The stripes not only define its anatomy but also provide visual rhythm to the painting. The natural environment is suggested through patches of blue, violet, and green surrounding the animal, evoking dense vegetation without describing it literally. These free brushstrokes generate a vibrant atmosphere that accompanies the tiger's movement and reinforces the sense of depth.
The contrast between the warm colors of the animal and the cool tones of the background intensifies its prominence, making it emerge strongly from the surroundings. The gestural and expressive brushwork adds energy to the scene, as if the landscape itself were in motion.
El Tigre is a work that speaks of presence, instinct and balance. An image where the strength of the animal is not shown as aggression, but as a calm affirmation of its place in the world.
