Description from the seller
PAPARREAL (PAVO REAL) is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. In this work, the architectural space opens to a luminous garden where nature and architecture live in perfect harmony. The scene, bathed in warm and vibrant tones, evokes an idealized Mediterranean place, where light seems to stop time.
The peacock, placed beside the water, acts as the poetic axis of the composition. Its majestic presence, with deep blues and greens, introduces an elegant counterpoint to the intense yellows of the architecture. It is not just a decorative element: it is a symbol of beauty, contemplation and stillness. The pond, with its floating water lilies, adds serenity to the scene and reflects the light, amplifying the sense of calm. Around it, potted plants and trees structure the space, creating visual layers that guide the gaze toward the open door in the background.
The architecture, simplified into color planes, does not seek to describe but to suggest. The arches, stairs and windows build a visual journey that invites entry, to pass through the space and inhabit it. The brushwork, loose and decisive, reinforces the expressive character of the work, where color is the true protagonist.
PAVO REAL is a painting about contemplation and balance. A place where beauty manifests in simplicity, and where the presence of life transforms space into a sensory experience.
