In Architecture of the Invisible Equilibrium, Elizabeth builds an image where the impossible does not burst forth as a rupture, but as a natural form of existence. The piece rises on a carefully orchestrated visual paradox: a tower of monumental rocks, heavy and full of matter, that defy all logic by supporting —at its highest point— a cozy, intimate, deeply human home.
The composition unfolds vertically, guiding the eye from the stone density of the base to the almost ethereal lightness of the crown of the blooming tree. This progression is not only formal but symbolic: an ascent from the ancestral and immutable toward the vital, the ephemeral, and the emotional. Each rock, shaped with a firm, volumetric brushstroke, holds a chromatic richness that oscillates between deep blues, purples, and ochres, evoking the passage of time and geological memory.
In contrast, the summit presents itself as a suspended oasis. The house —of domestic scale, almost humble— becomes the emotional core of the work.
