Description from the seller

Ozan Aydogan
'Geese' (2025)
fine art baryta giclee print
signed on the back, without frame
Artist studio edition 1/10, with certificate

Seller's Story

Ozan Aydogan is an analogue photographer based in Amsterdam. He is fascinated by the twilight zone between hope and melancholy, the poetic larger than life and the everyday and ordinary. His work strongly breathes his love for human beings and nature. Going to and fro between portraits of strangers on the gritty streets of Amsterdam and the birds floating weightlessly in the sky above them. Also being an actor and a poet, Ozan has worked with some of the greatest theater companies of the world, including International Theater Amsterdam under artistic leadership of Ivo van Hove. In 2018 he won the National Poetry Slam Championship of the Netherlands and became 5th of the world at the World Poetry Slam Championship in Paris. Ozan is writing his debut novel that's expected to be published in the late fall of 2026. In his series 'Children of Icarus' he observed birds above the busy streets of Amsterdam, capturing baroque images of light and shadow, thunderclouds and ever busy birds finding their way through them. None of the photographs has been edited, in order to show the omni-existing beauty of life instead of artificially reproducing her. All photographs are available for purchase in limited editions of 10 prints per work.
