Description from the seller
Overview
A classic Omega open-face pocket watch with strong early Swiss utility character, featuring a white enamel dial, Arabic numerals, and a traditional subsidiary seconds layout. The finely engine-turned silver case back with its central vacant cartouche gives the watch a distinctly antique presentation, while the accompanying metal fob adds to the charm of the overall set. The key appeal lies in the clearly identified Omega branding, the 0.800 silver case, and the added collectible interest of an included period accessory.
Technical and condition details
Open-face mechanical pocket watch with crown winding.
Signed Omega on the dial. White enamel dial with black Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6, an outer 24-hour numeral track, and classical hands. The layout is clear and attractive.
The movement is signed Omega and marked Swiss and 15 Jewels, indicating a Swiss 15 jewel movement. The regulator is marked for adjustment, and the movement presents with a clean and orderly layout.
The inner case is marked Omega Fab. Suisse Swiss-Made, 0.800, Silver från Boliden, and serial number 9932637. Brand and case material details are therefore clearly present. The outer back has an engine-turned finish with a central vacant cartouche.
Included in the lot is a metal pocket watch fob, which adds to the display value and period character of the piece.
Diameter approximately 49 mm. Weight approximately 74.83 g.
Running when tested. No long-term accuracy test has been performed.
Visible age-related wear is present, including surface scratches, edge wear, and minor knocks to the case. The inner cover shows oxidation spotting, handling marks, and general surface wear. The dial shows clear age-related condition issues, including hairlines, edge cracks, and enamel loss around the 4 to 5 o’clock area. The accompanying fob also shows normal age and surface wear. Please study the photographs carefully for condition details.
