Pipe - Briar

Chen Ce smooth pipe, entirely handmade.

Smooth finish with orange contrast, a very distinctive Dublin-inspired form interpreted for an elegance and balance that suits it; a pipe important for relaxed smoking; a prestigious bamboo cannello for a dry and fresh smoke.

Saddle-shaped mouthpiece in ebonite, cut and hand-finished for greater quality and comfort for the smoker, pipe rigorously drilled by hand in an impeccable manner.

ARTISAN MAKER:

Chen Ce lives in northern China, in the city of Anshan, Liaoning Province.

His first approach with the pipe was with his grandfather, a pipe smoker; he began building his first pipes in 2012.

Loving classic style and tradition, he continually improves, focusing on manual pipe-making; using Italian briar and other very high-level materials, he manages to offer pipes with innovative and exciting design.

In 2015 he met two skilled artisans, Ping Zhan and Sam Cui, from whom he drew many notions and improvements in technical and constructive fields; his meticulous finishing is astonishing, as befitting high-grade pipes.

In 2016 he met Xiaomei, his current partner, a graduate of the Central Academy of Fine Arts with an important jewelry project; this brought a great aesthetic improvement to his pipes with various ideas and decorations.

Subsequently Xiaomei discovered and learned the art of pipemaking, collaborating with Chen Ce in the construction of pipes also under her own brand.
