Description from the seller
Abstract work by Bram Bogart (1921-2012).
After a short figurative period he searches for his own path; in the 1960s a major turning point occurs in his work. Bogart then begins to work with a cement-like material, composed of oil, pigment, cement and colorants. Although he does not explicitly align with a particular movement, his work can be placed within informal art, which also includes movements such as action painting and dripping (as with Jackson Pollock).
Dimensions: 110 x 80 cm
Dimensions with frame: 136 x 105 cm
Lower right signed and dated '1996'
The work is in an exclusive frame
Provenance: Private collection, The Netherlands
Viewing is, of course, possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing workshop, celebrating its 85th anniversary year. The condition concerns only the artwork and not the frame. Damage to the frame before, during or after shipping is not compensated. Furthermore we use restorers from the professional association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this, please let us know.
