Don Ken (1956), No need to be modest, a mixed technique on panel artwork in Pop Art style with the original edition, dating from 1990–2000; dimensions 100 x 80 cm, origin Belgium, hand-signed and in good condition, sold by Galerie.
Description from the seller
Mixed media on panel by Don Ken (1956). His work is characterized by universal appeal and a playful, yet deeply thoughtful approach to themes.
An important aspect of his oeuvre is the integration of cartoon figures from Walt Disney and Warner Bros., for which he obtained an exclusive license from these studios at the beginning of his career. These figures function not only as icons of Western culture, but also as projections of social and societal behaviours. Don Ken knows how to combine his own vision and themes with these recognizable characters, creating an intriguing duality.
Dimensions: 100 x 80 cm
Provenance: Private collection, The Netherlands
Viewing is of course possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary. We also work with restorers from the professional association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
