"The Pose Makes History V.1" is a work that transforms the most everyday gesture of the digital era — the selfie — into a historic and immortal act.
A figure from another era, wrapped in a precious fur coat and with a Gucci bag tucked at the hip, takes a selfie with a modern smartphone. The dark glasses hide the identity, but not the attitude: that pose is already history.
The past and the present merge in an irresistible visual short circuit: the aristocratic dignity of the classical portrait meets the performative superficiality of social media, and comes out on top. The irony is subtle, the critique fierce, but the result is a powerful and contemporary beauty.

Technique and Creation:
The figure is printed on rigid support with photographic and painterly quality that recalls the tradition of European portraiture. A neon pink LED frame surrounds the subject like a screen, a stage, a digital mirror — turning the work into a true luminous installation.
The text "THE POSE MAKES HISTORY" in white and powder completes the composition with the authority of a manifesto: decisive, pop, visually striking even from afar.
The contrast between the warmth of the fur, the cold metallic sheen of luxury accessories, and the pink neon light creates a refined and sought-after visual tension.

Inspiration and Curiosity:
"The Pose Makes History V.1" arises from a simple and disorienting question: what happens when a historic character — used to being immortalized by painters and sculptors — finds themselves holding a smartphone?
The work celebrates and deconstructs at the same time the cult of image, the vanity of modern times, and our collective need to be seen, remembered, saved on an Instagram story that disappears after 24 hours. But that pose? That remains.
A sarcastic and affectionate tribute to today’s obsession with self-representation, filtered through the aesthetics of luxury and the irreverence of pop art.
