“ARCHEMISIO” is a contemporary painter renowned for his hyperrealist oil-on-canvas works, in which he blends photographic precision with the dramatic lighting characteristic of Caravaggio. Raised among the streets of Rome, from a young age he was fascinated by the baroque masterpieces on display in the city’s churches and museums, developing a passion for the contrast between light and shadow and for the emotional intensity of the figures.

After studying at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, Archemisio traveled across Europe and the United States, refining his hyperrealist technique through studying modern artists. However, his style stands out for its Caravaggesque heritage: his works capture minute details (from wrinkles in the skin to reflections on an object) but are immersed in a theatrical and directional light that sculpts the volumes and creates an atmosphere rich in symbolism.
