Artist's brochure about Bengt Olson (about 20 pages), cover hand-painted by the artist (original mixed media/acrylic) and hand-signed. With the artist's personal dedication inside.
Origin (Provenance):
The present unique piece comes from the archive of the former Herars GmbH Gallery, Hanau (owner: Martha Bosiak). After the dissolution of the GmbH about 32 years ago, the work passed into the possession of the son, Mr. Fritz G. Scharer. About 10 years ago the object was acquired in the context of a private purchase from his holdings.
This purchase contract in the original (unredacted) as well as the accompanying brochure will be auctioned as part of this auction.
Condition & Special Feature:
The special feature lies in the protective cover used by the artist as a "canvas." Since it is a proof copy from gallery stock, which remained in family ownership (Bosiak/Scharer) for decades, the authenticity of the painting and the signature is fully documented.
