Authentic ship lantern / navigational lamp – Seahorse G.B. – early 20th century
A distinctive and authentic maritime ship lantern from the Seahorse G.B. brand, a sturdy nautical object with a beautifully aged look. This original navigation lamp exudes the atmosphere of old ships, harbors and the history of sea travel.
The lamp is made of heavy metal with a characterful patina developed through years of use and exposure to the elements. The thick glass lens provides a nice light distribution and is typical of navigation lamps used on ships.
On the top there is the original Seahorse G.B. Trade Mark plate with number 21876, a lovely detail that underscores the lamp’s authenticity. Seahorse was a well-known manufacturer of nautical lighting and ship accessories.
The lamp features a hinged lid with a closure, allowing easy access to the interior for maintenance or installing a light source. Inside, the original construction is still visible, enhancing the industrial and historical character.
