Nguyen Van Dien is a Vietnamese portrait painter born in 1992 in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). He quickly established himself as a contemporary master of raw emotion, specializing in capturing human depth through the gaze and the marks of time.

Originating from the vibrant southern metropolis, Nguyen Van Dien chose to devote himself to the demanding technique of portraiture. He developed a distinctive style, often in monochrome or with a very restricted palette (such as black, white, and grayscale), to eliminate distractions and focus the viewer’s attention on the subject’s essence.
His works are not mere representations; they are windows into the subject’s soul. Dien particularly cherishes faces marked by age and experience, believing that every wrinkle, every line of the mouth tells an epic story.
