Description from the seller
“Observer”
Artist: original work by artist E. Pérez Lezcano

Dimensions: 70 x 100 cm
Presentation: The work is shipped unframed, carefully packaged in a rigid cardboard tube for maximum protection.

“Observer” is built as a silent presence that not only looks, but contains the act of perceiving itself. The composition, structured from geometric planes defined by a firm black line, organizes the space in a balance of tension between order and emotion.
The central, dominating, almost hypnotic element directs attention toward a fundamental idea: the gaze as origin. It is not about what is seen, but how it is seen. The work thus raises a reflection on perception, where every form and every color act as filters through which reality is interpreted.
The chromatic palette, vibrant and contrasted, activates the surface of the painting through the coexistence of warm and cool tones. Intense reds, deep blues, and luminous ochers generate a dynamic visual rhythm that reinforces the sense of contained energy. This chromatic tension does not seek to resolve but to sustain an unstable balance, charged with intention.
Formal fragmentation introduces multiple directions of reading, as if perception were not unique but simultaneous. Each plane suggests a different possibility, an angle from which to observe, reinforcing the idea that reality is not fixed but constructed.
“Observer” does not represent a subject, but a state. It is a work that shifts the focus from what is observed to the act of observing, inviting the viewer to recognize themselves at that point of attention where it all begins.
