Description from the seller
Very beautiful, rare print, 1970s edition of Mucha Art Nouveau Job 45 x 30 cm
Iconic JOB advertising poster, one of the most famous images of Art Nouveau, created from a drawing by Alphonse Mucha.
A composition of extraordinary elegance, with a female figure with flowing hair, a richly ornate apparatus and decorative lettering, becoming an absolute symbol of European graphic design at the end of the 19th century.
An artwork with strong visual impact and great decorative value, among the most sought-after images in Mucha's repertoire.
NOTE:
this work is probably a later edition, produced in the 1970s, and not a first original edition from the late 19th century.
The image faithfully reproduces the famous subject created by Mucha for the JOB cigarette paper advertisement, a masterwork of the Art Nouveau style for color balance, linear drawing and decorative refinement.
The print features vivid colors, excellent legibility of details, and a graphic rendering coherent with the high-quality reissues produced in the second half of the twentieth century.
Conditions: overall good; a small tear of about 1 cm on the left side (visible in the photo), without significant loss of image. Normal signs of aging compatible with the print's age.
Era of printing: circa 1970s
Subject: Art Nouveau / Historical advertising / Female figure
