Mario Puppo - Lago di Como - 1970s

Fascinating manifesto dedicated to Lake Como, made with refined graphics and strongly evocative of the Italian tourist style of the 1930s. The composition features an elegant female figure, seated in a boat, with a wide-brimmed hat and a yellow dress, immersed in a lakeside landscape with a sail and mountains in the background.

Note: This is a later edition probably from the 1970s.

The graphic layout clearly recalls the visual language of the great era of ENIT posters and of Italian tourism advertising between the wars, with solid colors, soft lines and a stylized but highly decorative rendering. The female figure, smiling and sophisticated, is typical of the elegant and optimistic imagery of the period.
