The posture of the body creates a powerful line that gives the image subtle dynamics and brings tension and balance to the composition.
Behind the glass covered with water droplets unfolds a play of structure, shadow and light with a halo-like glow.
The work is part of a series of two pieces. Intimate black-and-white images in which light, shadow and water together create a quiet, almost dreamlike atmosphere.
Print process:
Fine art giclée print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper. The 100% cotton paper has a velvety, matte surface without visible texture, giving the work a soft appearance. The paper is 100% cotton, acid-free, contains no optical brighteners (OBAs).
About the artist:
The artist pursues in her fine-art photography a sense of simplicity and calm. When using the nude, she focuses on an still, artistic depiction of the human body. Dynamics and stillness are recurring themes, also in this series of works.
