I took this photo in spring 2020 during the confinement in my village with a Nikon D600 and a Sigma 28-200 mm super-zoom lens.

The inspiration for this work comes from the ephemeral beauty of nature and the singularity that can emerge within a crowd. The image evokes a field of newborn wheat, where the dominance of green and the silky texture of the ears promise a future harvest. In the midst of this vegetal uniformity, a bright red poppy catches the eye, symbolizing life, passion, and individuality. It is the striking contrast between overwhelming gentleness and the luminous touch that dictated the composition.
I would like viewers to feel a sense of calm and contemplation in the face of nature’s beauty. I hope they will be touched by the quiet strength of this green field and that the poppy will remind them of the importance of every individual, even within a crowd. The image is an invitation to appreciate details, beauty in the ordinary, and the resilience of life that always finds a way to express itself. It is also a reflection on fragility and ephemeral beauty, represented by the delicacy of the poppy.

The print was made on high-quality Hahnemühle Photo Pearl paper with a format of 48.3 x 32.9 cm, producing a high-quality image. This work is sold with an authenticity certificate bearing the edition number (limited to 50) and hand-signed by the photographer.
