An enkolpion showing St. George killing the dragon from the 18th- 19th century Greek world is a devotional pendant worn around the neck, illustrating a famous Christian tale. These items are significant for their religious iconography, their history within the Eastern Orthodox tradition, and their function as protective relics or symbols of piety.
Material: silver and niello enamel
Condition: Very good for his age. top cover is missing.
