Magnificent pair of large hand-cut crystal vases from Saint-Louis Crystal, made in France.
Description
Two monumental vases in thick crystal, hand-cut, with deep and luminous colors:
• a ruby red
• a cobalt blue
Both pieces are signed with a diamond-point signature:
• blue vase: signature at the center of the base
• red vase: signature slightly offset on the base, typical of older productions
Dimensions & weight
• Height: 30 cm
• Diameter: 18 cm
• Weight:
• Red: 4.348 kg
• Blue: 4.842 kg
Condition
• Blue vase: excellent condition
• Red vase: generally good condition, with slight limestone traces inside, related to long-term use (a very gentle cleaning attempt was made, not pressing to preserve the crystal) and slightly chipped in one spot as well as a small flake
