Description from the seller
Anton Heyboer (1924-2005)
Due to his unconventional lifestyle, Anton Heyboer belonged to the most eccentric Dutch artists of the past decades. His turbulent life was reflected in a number of marriages. He also described himself as 'the Robin Hood of the art world', referring to his high output of art. Heyboer was trained as a mechanical engineer. After World War II he began drawing, albeit still in a traditional style. Between 1954 and 1957 he developed his own philosophical scheme on the basis of which his abstract works of art emerged. Yet in his paintings and prints there are always figurative elements. He also clarified the themes of his work with texts, in which human relationships often play a role.
Framed work.
Viewing is, of course, possible. In addition we have our own in-house framers, who are celebrating their 85th anniversary year. Furthermore we use restorers from the professional association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this, of course we would like to hear from you.
