Description:
This work is a lithograph by Paul Wunderlich titled "Solomon II:3". It is printed on Rives paper. The piece features the artist's characteristic anatomical precision and metamorphosis of forms.
Artist Profile:
Paul Wunderlich (1927-2010) was a German painter and printmaker born in Eberswalde. He studied at the Kunsthochschule Hamburg and later taught printmaking. He began producing lithographs and oil paintings in 1959. His lithographs gained attention in Paris in 1962, followed by solo exhibitions in Miami and San Francisco in 1963. He received numerous international art awards throughout his career. He died in Saint-Pierre-de-Vassols in 2010.
