Divan Divin | Paul Wunderlich
This is a lithograph titled "Divan Divin" by Paul Wunderlich. The work is printed on Rives paper. It is hand-signed by the artist and numbered 23/75. The artwork features the "metamorphosis" technique, where human figures and animals are depicted with anatomical precision while being strangely distorted or fused.
Artist Profile: Paul Wunderlich (1927-2010) was a German painter and printmaker born in Eberswalde. He studied at the Landeskunstschule in Hamburg and later taught printmaking techniques. He began focusing on lithography and oil painting in 1959. His lithographs gained attention in Paris in 1962, followed by his first international solo exhibitions in Miami and San Francisco in 1963. He received numerous international art prizes throughout his career.
