Description from the seller
COPA DE VINO is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. This work is a still life built from the elegance of gesture and the intensity of color. The wine glass, elevated and centered, becomes the axis of the composition, capturing inside not only the wine but also the light and the reflections of the surroundings.
The deep red of the wine contrasts with the transparency of the crystal, creating a subtle play between the dense and the ethereal. The brushstrokes, visible in the reflections, transform the surface into a living space where the interior and exterior merge. The background, composed of fabrics and floral motifs, introduces a decorative atmosphere that envelops the scene without diminishing its protagonism. The blues, greens, and pinks create a fresh counterpoint against the warmth of the wine and the table.
Grapes, arranged in the foreground, provide visual weight and balance. Their dark, almost brilliant volume reinforces the materiality of the scene and dialog with the contents of the glass, establishing a direct relationship between object and origin. The composition, apparently simple, is laden with nuances: the curve of the glass, the tilt of the stem, the arrangement of the elements on the table, all contribute to a sense of contained harmony.
COPA DE VINO is a work about quiet pleasure, about the small daily rituals that, through light and color, transform into moments suspended in time.
